The Ivee Sleek is quickly gaining the moniker “Siri for the smart home”. Ivee Sleek is a device that is hooked up to your local Wi-Fi and allows the user to control other compatible smart devices that are connected to the same network using voice control. To do this, the Ivee Sleek has a web dashboard that enables you to add other smart devices to it. Once the device has been synced to the Ivee Sleek, users can use an array of voice commands but first, you must say “Hello Ivee” which will then make the device listen for controlling commands, sending the audio to a WATSON language-processing server. You can say “Set the thermostat to 70 degrees.” and it adjusts the temperature as requested.
In addition to controlling other devices, the Ivee can also be used as a personal assistant like Siri. By using voice commands, it can fetch live content from the web such as the latest news, the weather, stock information, or even read you a bedtime story (I need one oh-so-badly for the bedtime stories;-)).
Presently, there aren’t a ton of devices that are compatible with the Ivee Sleek but the software is being constantly updated with the addition of new smart devices.
