Established in 1998, the company started out as a leather trimming workshop. The company is headed by Jamie Shaw, who started out working for Rolls Royce and who has over 20 years’ of experience in the automotive industry.
In 2008, Shaw set his sights on taking the Carisma brand global and steered the company into the exclusive niche market of Luxury Van/SUV Conversions.
Carisma’s signature van conversion is the Mercedes Benz Viano, big enough for comfort, discreet enough from the outside, and luxurious enough (post-conversion), for The Queen!
However, as the Carisma brand started to make waves across the pond, combined with the fact the Mercedes Viano is not currently homologated in the US, it soon became evident Carisma needed a popular US vehicle to grab the attention of the American market.
